A week of two halves

It's been a really strange week. I think at the back of my mind is that fact that we're approaching a year since the Pandemic started. This time last year we were sadly cancelling my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party. I had just seen my parents in Bristol this time last year and had been really worried even then about my Mum. I had also just attended the LT conference, which was as wonderful and thought-inspiring as ever. That trip feels like a life time ago...

I should have had 2 full days off this week, but because of stuff at work, I only managed two half days. Having said that, it was a good week with the boys. P and I went for a bike ride, the boys made an epic lego stockmotion movie. M and I have cooked some fab recipes from this book - Omari McQueen's Best Bites

I also had some me time at my favourite spa in Zürich on Friday (Labo Spa in case you were wondering!) and at the weekend painted my nails a lovely sparkly dark grey and started binge watching Firefly Lane on Netflix, as directed by sister Kate aka katethebass!

Yesterday I cleared the flat, reorganized the office corner of our bedroom, and realized that the analogue TBR bookpile is out of control. Let's not even talk about the digital / Kindle TBR shelf!

And even this dyed-in-the-wool introvert felt better after a couple of zoom calls this weekend - firstly with katethebass and our collected boys - to talk lego creations and then secondly with best mates M&S. we're all hoping that we'll get a real analogue catch up in 2021.... it has been way too long.
