Well, January felt like it lasted a year

January seemed to fly past, as a friend said recently: “who stole my January?”
And at that same time, it seemed to last a whole year

There were momentous external events.
Brexit really started. All hell broke loose in Washington DC. Biden got sworn in.
There were difficult decisions and discussions closer to home as we try and help my parents.
I have felt absolutely exhausted most of the time
Lockdown and working from home as seemed to hit everyone harder again, now it’s a new year and it feels like same old, same old.
And there was lots of snow in Zurich!

On the plus side
I got back into running/walking and yoga. My lose weight project started well and I still feel inspired. 3kg down.
Got a new recipe book and have enjoyed cooking with Markusc
I’ve been writing some blogs, about one a week. 9 in total
Read 6 books
Dramatically cut my alcohol, just the odd hot toddy now and again.
Sleeping better
Got new contact lenses and ordered glasses for TV watching and driving.
Have been enjoying writing daily in my iPad journal
Catching up with Kerry

To tackle next month
Finally get new laptop set up, figure out data, onedrive, google drive etc
Enjoy the Sportferien
Get ready for new boss
Increase the running
Look forward to Spring and longer days!
