October holiday in the UK

We had an amazing family holiday in the UK this October - this is a tradition I would like to repeat. We started with 4 nights at Wheeldon Trees Farm, where we have stayed before in 2014 and 2011. The boys loved the daily routine of feeding the animals, we also got drenched and walked to the top of the hill! Kate, Boys and Parents came and visited us there and we did Chatsworth again - lots of farm animals, adventure playgrounds and tractors! Chris and Drew also came up and we had a lovely pub meal.

Next stop was a couple of nights in the very lovely One Aldwych Hotel, right between the Strand and Covent Garden. We enjoyed the hotel swimming pool, the posh rooms and mooched around Covent Garden. Markus was even part of two street performances and "earned" five pounds! We did an opentop bus tour, saw Paddington, went to Hamleys and posed outside Buckingham Palace. The boys loved the Royal Parks, the ducks and the cheeky squirrels.

Finally we stayed one night with best mate Sal in Kew and did Kew Gardens and lots of time on the sofa! A brilliant holiday. When asked about their favourite bits of the holiday, Patrick said "the toilets that go WHOOSH!" and Markus said it was bumping down the stairs at Aunty Sally's house. So there you go :-)
