Christmas Eve

We have reached Christmas sweet spot - the boys absolutely, full heartedly believe in Father Christmas. And yet they are old enough to be a bit independent, play, and enjoy the festivities!

Today has been lovely. I slept in late :-) Alan dressed them as elves, then took them out of the house, whilst I wrapped like a dervish!! This afternoon I made mulled wine and mincepies, plus marinated the duck for tomorrow. We watched cute penguins on the TV.

We then trooped out to see Father Christmas on his sleigh (aka the International Space Station) fly past, but it was only there for a minute and was too close to the horizon to see. So luckily there was a high flying plane that we said was Santa :-) Last Year was more successful!

Back home, time for traditional Christmas Eve Sushi, then new pyjamas and dressing gowns for the boys, then time to put out stockings and go to bed.
