Reminding myself why....

Nanowrimo is not about writing the perfect novel, or even a good story. I can stop worrying about my characters and the plot. I just need to turn up for the challenge each day, sit down and write a truthful 2000 words. No one else will even need to read the version. There is nothing to be afraid of.

And in the meantime, I can use the writing process as way of working things out in my own life. Do I have the creative power to get to a coherent 50'000 words? Will I end up with a book in my hands afterwards? Who knows. It's day two, keep writing!
