Autumn Afternoon at the Tuerlersee

P1010178, originally uploaded by nice_cup_of_tea.

It was a beautiful autumn day here in Zurich, really sunny and actually remarkably hot, and katcolorado and I went on a little “Ausfluegle” (trip, excursion) to the Tuerlersee, a small lake and nature reserve on the other side of the Uetliberg ridge. We went on the big yellow Postbus and within a few minutes of leaving Triemli, it felt like we were right in the Swiss countryside!

We ambled slowly round the lake taking photos as we went, sat for a while and enjoyed the view of the lake, then stopped for a drink at the restaurant at the end. We tasted the Suuser (or Sauser - early fermented red wine) and then had to sprint for the post bus back! It was one of those glorious days where it feels good to bunk off and escape what you should be doing, and to enjoy life at the moment :-) Thanks katcolorado, it was a grand afternoon out with you!
