The tale of the reluctant shoe shopper

This weekend I was having a bit of a sort out of my wardrobe and amongst other things, was sorting out my foot wear.

As you can see, this well worn pair of sandals has seen better days and reluctantly decided that yes, they had to go.

They are my failsafe pair of going out sandals, comfortable to wear for any length of time. Black, go with almost any evening or smart wear. They cost me the princely sum of £21.99 from Next. And guess How long I have had them (I am almost embarrassed to say) ....

13 years!

Can anyone beat this? I think it is fair to say that I am not a shoe shopaholic. Actually, don't think I am any sort of shopaholic!!
