Some thoughts on journalling

I have been re-reading my livejournal today and thinking about what I want to change in 2009.

This year I have blogged daily, plus posted a snapshot daily. This has worked, but can be an extra stress in busy week. Having said, I like the rounded view and detail of my life, that I see reflected in my blogs and snapshots.

I have also been re-reading some of the creative writing I have done on here in the past and I want to do more of that. Plus I would like to write more thoughtful, critical commentaries on the issues that interest me - the future of work, social theories of learning, web 2.0, reading etc. These could be commentaries of other online sources, book reviews, thoughts that I'm thinking, etc.

So all in all, this is what I think my plan will look like:

- At least one snapshot per week on flickr and cross posted here, although if I have several for a week, that's also good
- A weekly summary on lj of my life, including the flickr snapshots as a mosaic
- One creative writing piece per week
- One commentary / article per week.

My ideas may change, but I think that this is a good start and a way to steer a slightly new path for myself.

What do you think?

In other news, I have created myself a happy filter :-)
