Before 11 o'clock, I had done the recycling, been shopping, gone to the dry cleaners and had my eyebrows waxed :-) After lunch I had a big purge of the wardrobe, ruthlessly chucking out anything that I hadn't worn for a while, bearing in mind the 20/80 rule - we wear 20% of our wardrobe 80% of the time! This of course just cleared space for me to go shopping this afternoon - *he, he!*
I found a very cool sports / outdoor shop, which just had really lovely stuff - walking trousers that fitted, technical Tshirts and tops in gorgeous colours and lots of lovely kit, including a small collapsable chair, which I need for watching the Comrades Marathon...So I am now well kitted out for the South Africa trip - I fly next Friday evening - and will start packing early, i.e. tomorrow!
This evening has been mostly spent getting the blog up to date. I am still enjoying (just) writing daily, but I often scribble a few notes on a post and then mark it as private, before updating it at the weekend - but this does mean that it gets lost on the friend's list. So, if anyone is interested, here are my latest updated entries:
Wednesday – Work and networking
Thursday – Sex and the City Movie
I read a suggestion on the Happiness Project blog (by Gretchen Rubin), that people keep a one sentence journal. Sounds like a great idea to me. Mine today would read:
I cleared the wardrobe and purged my clothes in order to go shopping, proudly sporting my Charlie's Angel coiffure!
