View from my hospital window

From my hospital bed in Kilchberg, I had a completely different view of the Uetliberg, with the TV tower and Uto Kulm. And every evening I had a view of a wonderful sunset!

The op went okay, i was first on the list on Tues morning so was prepped and waiting in the op. theatre at 07.30 - far too early :-) Spent most of Tuesday spaced out on lovely strong painkillers and yesterday on less. I'm feeling okay, some pain, but mostly just absolutely tired! I have to say that I am VERY impressed with swiss hospitals, I was SO well looked after! I also learnt that I have quite low blood pressure.

Bed companion

Anyway, I stayed in 2 nights and then A. collected me this morning. When I got home, mr.ncot had made up the bed, plus reading bed companion! I will miss the very cool hospital beds, which you can play with to your heart's content - head up, head down, feet up, feed down, knees up, knees down - you get the picture! Shame my bed at home isn't so clever and I don't think mr.ncot will join in that game "A., Can I have one of your pillows and can you prop me up please?" *lol*

And now the plan is to stay in bed for a few days, take it easy, not move very much and let my body heal. which for me is a bit frustrating and will be difficult, but I will give it a go. I may even get a chance to catch up with some writing and livejournal entries!
