The Birthday Girl is Back!

Thanks to all for my birthday wishes :-)

mr.ncot and I have just got back from a long weekend in Ascona, which was fab. Here's the view from our balcony :-) We talked a lot about us and our plans for this year, went for a few strolls, drank coffee in cafes and generally watched the world go by. Had some nice meals and I swam in the hotel pool, which was fab. Feeling very relaxed....

And I got a bike for my birthday :-) I think this is the first time I had ever received a "brand new bike"! It's very blue, quite light and mine, all mine... Triathlon here I come....

I got lots of texts from friends and work mates today, plus some surprises in my mailbox (Thanks katcolorado!) And mr.ncot and I are out to eat at Lily's in a minute and to see a German film called Vier Minuten.

In other news - my wrist is a lot better and I can type again, so will be writing here more regularly now. The last 2 months have been a bit tough, mostly cos of the wrist, but I am determine to make May count. I will be losing weight, getting back into exercise and mentally / physically preparing myself for a tough summer at work... Watch this space.
