May Day Walk on the Uetliberg

I have been feeling a bit blue the last week or so. Wednesday this week was a bank holiday in Zurich (worker's day) and I escaped the boys (thanks to lovely mr.ncot) and I decided to escape up onto the Uetliberg. Given that everyone had the day off, the mountain track was quite busy, but nonetheless, I had a lovely walk, cleared my head and breathed a little easier. I think that walking the Uetliberg once a month might feature in my @40 challenge.

Eddie, KTP and me

My lovely sister visited last weekend to celebrate her birthday with a visit to the Eddie Izzard gig at the Hallenstadion, Zurich. To say we were excited, would be an understatement! Against the experience of a lifetime, we got there early (as the doors opened at 1830) and had a lovely meal together. I had got us quite good seats, so we were pretty close to stage and we amused ourselves by sending texts to Eddie, which then showed up on the big screen. Ours was the last text before the show started, and then during the interval another one of ours showed up!

Eddie was ace. Dressed more conservatively than a few years back, but still sporting a nice pair of heels and lovely nail varnish. Very funny. And a great encore which included the Star Wars Canteen sketch.

In other news, the boys adore Kate, call her "Aunty Cake" and it was lovely to see my favourite people playing together, reading stories, etc! Oh, and I made her a special Birthday cake!
