November Challenge

I cannot believe that November is almost finished! I have really enjoyed completing my three daily tasks (exercise, blogging, working on project). I didn't achieve all three tasks every single day, but I did pretty well and I certainly achieved far more than I would have done without the challenge.

More importantly, having set my own goals, based on what i know about myself and what makes me happy, this has allowed me to take back some control and sense of responsibility for myself and my actions.

I feel a lot better having got back into exercise and genuinely have more energy. I blogged
21 out of 30 days and met all step targets 26 out of 30 days.

On the project front, I am well on the way with my photo book project, have finished my baby bunny for Patrick (only 16 months late!) and
have booked a hotel for a family for two nights in November and have started planning Christmas.

I am looking forward to the December countdown to Christmas and starting some advent traditions with Markus and Patrick.

Things to look forward to...

* My sister coming to stay from Dec 19th - 24th, lots of pre christmas excitment and Aunt Cake silliness

* 2 nights away at the Schweizerhof Lenzerheide with mr.ncot and the boys - seriously cannot wait!

* Running the Silvesterlauf (8.6km around Zurich) with friend Kerry, whilst our three small boys cheers us on - Mr.ncot is in charge of Team Palmer/Black and their supporters

* Eddie Izzard gig in Zurich next April 27th - my sister is coming to stay again :-)

* 2 weeks off over christmas and time to do some christmas crafts and cooking with the boys, plus establishing our own family traditions!

* My friend Mags coming to stay for a weekend in January

* Visiting friends in Unteriberg in January

How to Live Happily Ever After

It is only possible to live happily ever after on a daily basis
Margaret Bonamo

Day by day, snapshot by snapshot, moment by moment, we make our happiness. Thursday before work Markus sat on my lap as I was eating my porridge. He snuggled in, a little bit tired still, didn't really want to get up and get going with the day. I just sat there in the moment and felt a great sense of contentment and happiness. Stroked his head. Felt the weight and warmth of small boy on me. And felt very happy :-)
