I am Caxius...

I have had a headache / sore throat / earache since last Wednesday and have been waiting for my cold to appear. Yesterday the cold decided to go to my chest as a racking cough and today I have pretty much lost my voice .-(

However, since I have a critical meeting this afternoon, I am at my desk, voiceless and underneath the weather.

My lovely Brazilian friend this morning took one look at me, heard me and then said something in portugese, which translated means "You are Caxius".
This is apparently a phrase that you say when someone is stubborn and continues working regardless.

Apparently Luís Alves de Lima e Silva, Duke of Caxias was a famous General who defended Brazil against a portugese invasion!

So, today I am Caxius, tomorrow I will try to stay at home in bed!
