Lent Resolutions

I can't believe it's a year ago that I set these resolutions, which really helped me to complete my thesis and get my life back on track!

I have 3 resolutions for the 40 days of lent in 2007
1. Cut out Alcohol (one social joker a week!)
2. Exercise each day (minimum 20 minutes activity, my walk to and from work counts!)
3. "Only Connect" (Each day write email / letter / phone a friend & strengthen those relationships!)

A friend of mine has just directed me to this blog, which contains some really interesting posts about how lent can help simplify our life and help us decide what's important, as well as the history of lent and fasting.

My personal view is that lent should be a time of doing something positive, rather than (or as well as) giving something up. For me this means trying to exercise, as well as finding time to cultivate my relationships.

Lent 1

1. Cut out Alcohol: Succeeded
2. Exercise each day: Not yet....left work at 20.30 and it just didn't happen :-(
3. "Only Connect": Emailed PWG friends
