IT IS DONE! THE DISSERTATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED!!

I know it's hard to believe, but I'm delighted to tell you that I have finally submitted my research and compeleted my Masters in Training and Performance Management!

Vital Statistics
Words: 22,281
Pages: 100
Versions of dissertation: 13
Articles read: 161
Books read: 22
Plus: 3 large A4 folders and 2 notebooks full of notes
Time spent on Masters: since April 2002
Assignments: 4
Word count for assignments: 25,585

I can't thank you all enough for your support and patience. Even a few months ago I wasn't sure whether I'd actually manage to finish this.

So what's next? Well, if the dissertation is marked in time for the May exam board, then I'll graduate this summer. Plus my supervisor wants us to write a joint paper together. And then it's back to work.

So what did I learn through doing this Masters?

That I'm not a quitter, but that I have a problem with deadlines
That my perfectionist streak helps me to produce excellent work, but does nothing for my time management skills
That after a while you have to stop reading and start writing
That word limits are there for a very good reason
That research is hard work but very rewarding
That I have very patient, loving friends who support me
That I owe Alan a debt I will probably never fully repay :-)

Just off for a celebratory lunch with mr. ncot!
