Running in the snow! | 45.15

I can't believe it's been a month since I last went running :-( I think I stopped for about a week because I had a cold, but then just lost the routine. Inspired by katcolorado's posts about running I finally went out at 5.30 this evening. I love the fact that the days are gradually getting longer! It still wasn't dark when I got back :-)

I did my usual route. It's still so snowy underfoot, particuarly in areas where there are less pedestrians. The Rietberg and Bellerive Parks were just wonderful and white. I ran for 4 minutes before walking for a minute. My new snowchains worked really well, although I was overall still a bit slower because of the snowy conditions.

I felt really good though. My legs didn't protest at running again after a month !! Zurich is just so beautiful, particularly in the snow. The air was really clear over the lake and I could see the snow capped mountains in the distance. I love the fact that I can be in the middle of Zurich and the lake in 15 minutes :-) 15 minutes running in London would just take me to the other end of grey, pavemented Golders Green!
